Belatane Farm

“Beltane Farm makes a variety of artisanal, farmstead goat milk cheese on our farm in Lebanon, Connecticut. Although our award winning Fresh Chevre is our most popular cheese, we also make a number of fine French style ripened cheeses as well as our Feta. Our Oberhasli and La Mancha goats are milked twice daily and provide the milk for our cheese.”

The Bridge

“Utilizing traditional techniques, The Bridge, located in Middletown CT., has been making classic Amasake, kettle Tofu, and basic Seitan for 25 years. Our products can be found in the refrigerated sections of Whole Foods Market, Mrs. Greens Natural Market, The Flying Pig Cafe, Integral Yoga Natural Foods, and other organic or natural foods stores. The Bridge is not alone in our efforts to bring traditional foods to the public. Helyn’s Clean Solutions

“After years of running my own cleaning business, I decided to create a fresher alternative to the toxic chemicals I was constantly putting myself in contact with. My hands were always cracked and I was plagued with constant sinus problems. I never related these little maladies with the cleaning chemicals I was using, but to the fact that I was aging.

I did some research. With the help of some wonderful books available from the library, I realized that, not only was I harming myself, but I was also harming the environment. You see, most of my clients have wells. I never realized that certain toxic chemicals are dumped down the drain and get into the septic system. The septic system leads to the leach field, which leads to the grass, the worms, and eventually to the birds. It was definitely time for a change.” Click here to visit her website.

Shayna B’s & The Pickle

Shayna B’s & the Pickle is operated out of Ashford, Connecticut. Christine Reed, owner and operator, began developing her own baked goods, all are vegan and many wheat-free versions, when family and friends expressed frustration with finding delicious desserts that met their dietary needs. Contrary to popular belief, Shayna is not the owner of Shayna B’s & the Pickle. Instead, Shayna is the yellow lab, and the Pickle, is the black lab, aka, Dillon (Dillon, Dill Pickle, the Pickle… you get it.) Both have a sweet tooth but much to their dismay, are not allowed to taste-test the items. But they are very proud to be on the label.
